FINAL CHAPTER

Nothing much happened for a while afterward; life went on as usual. The competition class began its busy schedule as scheduled, with competitions, exams, and test papers raining down on them.

Of course, their relationship wasn't publicized with Song Shi's permission. They were seated together, and ever since Chen Zhoumu coaxed Song Shi into a kiss, the other always wanted to do things like kissing and hugging.

But Song Shi always refused. Actually, he always felt a sense of guilt; Chen Zhoumu was a year younger than him, and he would be twenty next year, so kissing him always felt strange.

Chen Zhoumu was very skilled at learning certain things, like now. He wrapped his arms around Song Shi's waist and lifted him towards the sink. This time, Song Shi hadn't had time to put on his pajama bottoms, but fortunately, the other's other hand cushioned his thigh, easing the cold touch.

The two had moved out of the school. After Chen Zhoumu's persistent pleading, he complied with the other's wishes and moved in together. Now, no one would bother them.

Song Shi lowered his head, enduring the other's persistent kisses. The sound of clothes rubbing together filled his ears, followed by a tugging sensation at his hem. A hand gripped his waist, sending a shiver through him.

He expected the other to touch him, but only lightly pressed against his waist. The other's voice came through: "You haven't been eating properly, you've lost weight again."

Recently, due to exams, his eating habits had been irregular, causing Chen Zhoumu to notice he had lost a lot of weight.

"Looks like I'll have to fatten him up again."

Both were young and full of youthful vigor; such intimate tenderness had already aroused their bodies. Chen Zhoumu looked at the man, whose breathing was unsteady, his ears and cheeks flushed, even the neck exposed beneath his unbuttoned collar was crimson.

"Are you feeling unwell?"

Song Shi leaned on the other's shoulder, trying to catch his breath. "It'll be alright in a bit."

"Let me help you."

"No." "

Being a ninja isn't good for your health. Let me help you, okay?"

Song Shi's body trembled slightly, the sensations making it impossible for him to look away. He bit his hand tightly to stifle any sound.

Then he buried his face in the other's neck, "Mmm..."

Chen Zhoumu smiled at the other's reaction and leaned in to kiss the other's cheek.

Soon, the scent of gardenias in the room was masked by him. Song Shi nestled lazily in his arms, and Chen Zhoumu wiped his hands while holding him, then carried him into the room like a child, lifting his hips.

After finishing, the other person curled up in the blankets, not wanting to move. Chen Zhoumu looked at the silent person: "How are you feeling

?" "So-so," came a muffled voice.

Chen Zhoumu pulled him out of the blankets: "Then what am I supposed to do?"

The person pulled out unconsciously looked down, then broke free from his embrace and rolled to the side: "Handle it myself."

"So heartless?" Chen Zhoumu laughed and pulled him back, leaning down to kiss him, but was stopped.

He grasped the other's hand and kissed it, asking vaguely, "We haven't gone public yet, so what are we?"

"An affair."

Song Shi, feeling a strong drowsiness after calming down, closed his eyes and fell asleep, ignoring the person in front of him.

"An affair? Can't I have a title? I don't want this answer, tell me..."

The person lying in bed with their eyes closed found the incessant chatter of the person in front of them too noisy. Song Shi rolled over and pinned the other down, then kissed their lips: "Is it okay?"

Chen Zhoumu was stunned, then nodded: "Okay."

Song Shi then rolled over and lay down on their side to sleep. Chen Zhoumu looked at the other's sleeping face. An affair? If this is what an affair is, then so be it.

Two months passed, and the two were busy, stealing moments of intimacy. Time flew by, and in the final days, they didn't even have time for that. They usually showered and went straight to sleep at night.

In the final list of recommended students, both of them made it into the top three, a result everyone expected.

The day before leaving Guangzhou, Song Shi received some information. The next day, he went to Guangzhou Prison to meet someone.

Zhang Su sat inside the glass enclosure, unchanged except for his shaved head. He and Song Shi were the same age and both adults, so according to the law, he went directly to adult prison.

Looking at the person inside, Song Shi threw the things he was holding onto the table and said expressionlessly, "What do you mean?"

"It means exactly what it says. You're not Song Jinming's son at all. The reason we couldn't find out back then was because of Zhang Shu, but I still found out. Of course, your mother allowed it. She knew you wouldn't investigate, but I did it for you."

"So what?" Song Shi looked at the person in front of him, then walked away. "I don't care at all."

Zhang Su's eyes twitched as he watched the disappearing figure. Did he not care? Did he not care about anything? If that's the case, shouldn't he not help others so easily?

He lay back down on the cold bed. That night, he had a dream. In the dream, he was still in a dirty, messy trash can, with people kicking and shoving outside, before trash was forcibly stuffed into it.

Immediately, the sounds outside disappeared, and a voice came: "Come out, they're gone."

He slowly poked his head out, and after checking that no one was around, he cautiously stepped out: "You...you scared them all away?"

The person standing in front didn't speak, but handed him a piece of candy: "It wasn't me. Take it. Today is my last day here, so this candy is for you."

"Where are you going?"

"San Francisco."

Xiao Zhang grabbed the other person: "What's your name?"

"Song Shi."

The scene shifted, and the other person had returned at some point, but someone was following behind him. He leaned forward, and the other person asked in confusion: "Who are you?"

He didn't remember, how could he not remember!

So whether it was an enemy or a foe, he wanted the other person to remember him, only the method was wrong.

The temperature had completely dropped on the day he left Yangcheng. Although it wasn't as cold as Xiacheng, he still needed to wear more clothes. Xiacheng had already dropped to minus five degrees Celsius.

A layer of fog rose on the bus to the airport. Song Shi sat down first, while the other person was putting away luggage below. Song Shi reached out and wiped the glass, trying to see the surrounding scenery clearly.

But while wiping, for some reason, his hand turned and wrote someone's name on it. When

he realized what he'd done, he quickly reached back to wipe it away. The other person, who had somehow gotten into the car, leaned over and grabbed his hand, asking, "Is it me? Is it my name?"

Song Shi used his other hand to wipe it away. "No, it's a dog's name."

"Really? So I'm your little dog?"

"No, just a silly dog."

"Okay."

They landed in Xia City that evening. It was snowing when they came out of the airport, but luckily they were both dressed warmly enough. The bus to school was still some time away, so the students were waiting at the intersection. Zhang Jingxiao, carrying her luggage, huffed and puffed as she walked towards them

. "Why is it so cold today?" she said, reaching into Tan Qi's pocket beside her.

"Because of the Beginning of Winter," Tan Qi replied, brushing the snow off her head.

After a while, snow fell heavily on everyone's heads, and the bus slowly pulled in. Zhang Jingxiao picked up her things and walked towards the bus.

Chen Zhoumu, looking at the still-falling snow, turned to Song Shi: "Do you think we're old now?" Song Shi,

seeing their silly grin, said, "Don't catch a cold."

Song Shi watched them walk away with their luggage. He actually hated winter because of the cold; the cold made the cemetery seem so desolate.

This winter was just as cold, but it had arrived earlier and more fiercely than winter itself. Perhaps this winter was something to look forward to.

A person standing not far away waved for him to hurry over, and Song Shi ran in that direction.

"Why are you running? Your hands are so cold!" Chen Zhoumu said, taking his hand and stuffing it into his pocket, the warmth quickly enveloping Song Shi's hand.

"Let's go, let's go back and see our older brother."

"Okay."

"Move out and live with me, just like in Yangcheng."

"Okay."

After the two returned to Xiacheng and put their luggage away, the snow outside the window still hadn't stopped.

"Today is the Beginning of Winter, this is the first snow, right?" Chen Zhoumu opened the balcony door, where a lot of snow had accumulated on the ground.

"Didn't it snow in Xiacheng?"

"Every time it snows with you, it's the first snow. They say wishes made on the first snow come true, do you want to try?" He said, putting his hands together to make a wish.

"Song Shi, I don't want you to always be so tired. Eat well, sleep well, and I hope you'll always be happy."

Song Shi looked at the person who kept rambling on. The other person and snow had a common characteristic: snow was a gift from heaven to the earth, and Chen Zhoumu was a gift from heaven to him.

"Wishes won't come true if you say them out loud."

"If you say them to the person who wants to hear them, they will come true."

"Okay."
